WANT TO KNOW WHAT AFRICAN EXPERTS THINK ABOUT AFRICA’S PROBLEMS?
FOLLOW RASA TV, EVERY MONTH
RASA is pleased to announce the launch of its new TV show, devoted exclusively to the current issues of the African continent
« VOICES AND PATHS OF AFRICA
LISTEN TO THE VOICE OF AFRICANS!
On July 04, 2021, when Prof. Fatou Sow Sarr, eminent member of RASA, said that « We did not give the floor to African women, they took it … », she certainly did not imagine that RASA would paraphrase her by going further: « WE DO NOT GIVE THE WORD TO AFRICANS WHEN IT IS NEEDED, WHERE IT IS NEEDEDED, THEN THEY TAKE IT … ».
Indeed, since its creation, the RASA has positioned itself as a credible alternative to the deliberately miserabilistic or biased discourse on the continent, but now it intends to go further. In addition to its reports, which have proven that Africans can now look at their own continent, RASA will add an audiovisual platform. This, in the form of a bi-weekly publication, will give the floor to any African, a credible specialist in his or her field, from North to South, East to West, to express through his or her « voice » his or her vision on current issues that challenge Africa and Africans, and to indicate the « path » that he or she recommends to the continent.
This project will be in line with the vision of the RASA which is not a reaction, but the affirmation and the illumination of other ways of positive transformation already at work in the real dynamics. Without ever losing sight of the fact that RASA is also alternative because it combines expert knowledge and knowledge of experience, and that it gives a voice to authentic actors who are usually invisibilized and wrongly disqualified.
The languages of dissemination will be English and French.
So, every month, an appointment is made with an African expert or a recognized friend of Africa, from all fields (economy, society, history, environment, politics, …), through your program « VOICES AND VOICES OF AFRICA » which welcomes as Second Guest Dr Ndongo Samba SYLLA;
Dr. Ndongo Samba Sylla is a Senegalese development economist.
