This is to prevent the mafia from monopolizing inputs.

Start a vast production program in the operational DACs (such as SEFA) by involving the national private sector in the operation. A special financing program could be envisaged with the Agricultural Bank, the BNDE and the DER to support private individuals who wish to invest in the agricultural production sector, particularly the agri-food industries involved in the various agricultural value chains.

Prepare a LFR directing financial resources to agriculture and subsidizing imported hydrocarbons to keep prices at the pump more or less stable (the WB speaks of a projected 50% increase in the price of hydrocarbons)

Launch a special program to reach 1,000,000 hectares of irrigated land by 2030 accompanied by a well thought out mechanization avoiding past mistakes in the acquisition of tractors.

Establishment of an investment fund dedicated to agriculture to accompany producers in the creation of cooperative companies and financing in the form of participation in project companies adopting modern and more efficient management methods.

The institutional support for this ambitious project should be provided by a special agency bringing together all the stakeholders in the agricultural sector (SAED, SODAGRI, ANIDA, ANCAR, PRODAC, etc.) by pooling resources and action plans.

The objective of this program could be to drastically reduce imports of agricultural products while providing young people with massive employment in the agricultural sector.

All analysts and international organizations agree that the prices of the main agricultural products such as wheat, corn, sunflower oil and petroleum products will rise in the coming months.Senegal has an obligation to prepare for this if it does not want to face an uncertain future and fall victim to hunger riots against a backdrop […]

[41

post-3535","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","category-economy-development
["GET
